I’m not sure why, but sometime in my mid to late twenties, I became very interested in health and nutrition. I’d always been active but had never given any thought to what I ate. Maybe it was that looming 30th birthday? Or perhaps it was because I always felt a bit tired and never quite had enough energy. Whatever it was, my passion for all things healthy began and I turned to an organic wholegrain diet. And once you see the light on healthy living, there’s no turning back.

Although I’ve always been an actress, a few years ago I began to branch out with the founding of my website. People kept asking me what my secret was and so I started the site to show how health and natural beauty products are in my opinion, the best way to age well. Health being absolutely key to keeping that glow going.

And then 3 years ago I co-wrote a diet book with nutritionist Fleur Borrelli based on evolutionary nutrition. Our genes haven’t changed much in the last 50,000 years and yet our way of life has changed dramatically, particularly in the last 100 years. This has had a devastating effect on people’s health and wellbeing.

The In-Sync Diet is based on the 4 pillars of health; Eat, Drink, Move, Rest.

It’s an anti-inflammatory diet that not only helps you lose weight, but optimizes health and activates longevity genes, making it an age busting diet as well. This is the diet that genetically your body is built for.

We’ve now transformed it into an easy to do online plan with videos, exercises, meditation and loads of recipes. For those interested in the science there are even power point presentations with all the latest findings and research.

Beauty Finds:

I absolutely love the Love Lula site. It has the best selection of all natural products that I think I have seen. I regularly feature it on my Ageless site.

My favourites:

Balm Balm – I’m a huge fan of these products and they are in fact what first drew me to the Love Lula site. Natural, pure, artisan and incredible value for money. I particularly love the Frankincense make up removing balm (specially good for removing stage make up) and also the Beauty Balm which as well as removing make up, is also a great overnight nourishing balm.

Trilogy – I love their Balancing Gel Cleanser. Although completely natural, it lathers nicely and gives a lovely refreshing and gentle clean to the face. I like to use it in the shower.
I recently tried their Smooth & Nourish Conditioner as well and absolutely love it. It does what it says on the tin and leaves hair feeling silky. A little seems to go a long way.

Natorigin – I have to admit I don’t always love natural make ups and struggle to find ones I really like. However I love their mascara which in my opinion is as good as any regular mascara anywhere.

Glossworks – this is Love Lula’s own brand of natural nail polishes and I’m liking them a lot. Regular nail polishes are some of the most toxic products around so I’m always excited to try natural versions. Unfortunately a lot of the natural ones I’ve tried start peeling off within the day and have very unappealing colours. Glossworks colours are great and they have good staying power.
