Seascape Island Apothecary Reviews
We love Seascape Island Apothecary. Find out what our customers have to say about the range of Seascape Island Apothecary products.
I use this on my 1 and a half year old son who has very sensitive skin, it not only smells nice but keeps his precious skin beautifully soft and nurtured. The packaging is very grown up but the product itself is lovely and natural.
Its is moisturising and leaves hand soft and lovely, but the cream is really liquid, so it is not so comfortable to apply.
Also the smell is not my favourite, but that does not mean other wont like it.
I just bought some of this because I love the smell of their soothe sleep oil, and I assumed it would be safe. I thought that Lovelula only sold safe products so I've become somewhat lax at checking ingredients here. I also believed Seascape's claims that their products were free from chemically modified or carcinogenic ingredients...silly me and shame on you Seascape Island. ALS is just another name for SLS and has the same health risks, Cocamide DEA is carcinogenic and gets a red score of 7 from EWG, Triethylene Glycol raises concerns re organ toxicity and its use is restricted, Propylene Glycol is similar and can cause skin irritation, Methylchloroisothiazolinone is also a skin allergen and its use is restricted in many countries, and Methylisothiazolinone is banned for cosmetic use in more than one country and is a "known human immune toxicant" and is another ingredient in this body wash with a high risk score from the EWG (Environmental Working Group Cosmetics Database) Needless to say, despite the fact that it smells lovely, I won't be buying it again or using it any more.
