Odylique by Essential Care Reviews
We love Odylique by Essential Care. Find out what our customers have to say about the range of Odylique by Essential Care products.
This is an excellent product, and really works! I am pale, and burn easily - it was the perfect choice. Once easily applied, there was no need to re apply for the rest of the day as it was rich and smooth which I was thrilled about. I'm often prone to getting spots in the heat and have sensitive skin, which I didn't with this product - it's brilliant. My young girls used it as well and it gave a very good protection for them. We all really liked the smell and texture of the cream.
I felt it is priced appropriately for such a high quality product that I will definitely buy again and highly recommend it .... a must buy!
A thick cream but it sinks into your skin so easily. I've been using it on my neck area for a few weeks and it really helps improve the appearance of my parched skin.
I'm very fair skinned and burn easily, so I'm always on the look out for a really effective sunscreen (but I also wanted it to be natural!). I have certainly tried my fair share and after using this product, my search is definitely over.
This sunscreen protects my skin very well every time I use it (and I actually like to be out in the sun, rather than the shade!).
I also liked the fact that, because it's natural and filled with antioxidants, it was doing my skin a world of good too.
It's easy to apply and didn't leave me looking white, either. A must-have product!
Thank you Odylique!!
I really love this new product. It is rich without being greasy - it seemed to plump my skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines (a handy unintended benefit). Once absorbed for a few minutes, it made a fabulous base for makeup. So pleased there are no added extras - fragrance, colour, etc to irritate my sensitive skin. One slight downside is that it is tricky to squeeze out of the tube (perhaps Odylique could look into better adapted packaging...) but overall, I can't recommend this highly enough.
I use it for eczema affected skin. it calms down the skin really nicelly. I would recommend it to anyone with reactive, eczema prone skin.
Excellent product - I have allergies and sensitivities to many skin care products but this serum is chemical free and not caused any reaction and has greatly improved the appearance and texture of my skin giving it a youthful glow even though very mature.
I got this serum in a sample bottle. I wasn't sure about it in the beginning as it looked very oily and I was worried about it sitting on my skin, making it look greasy & shiny. But no, it sinks right in and leaves my skin super soft. I have never used something that leaves my skin this soft before (and I have used many creams/serums cos of my dry, sensitive skin!). It will definitely be a staple for the colder months, will wear it under my moisturiser to give my skin an extra moisture boost. At the moment I can use it on it's own (during the summer). Three drops do my entire face. A little goes a long way so even my sample bottle will last me quite sometime :)
I absolutely love this! I got a sample in my monthly beauty box and will be repurchasing as soon as I run out! I add it on after my moisturiser to lock in hydration but it also makes my skin radiant
So many things to love about this mask. It saves time as it exfoliates and masks in one. Also, you can customise it to your skin type with the liquid element (floral water, aloe, etc). And, it's really gentle. All this and it does a great job deep cleansing and brightening the skin. Fab mask!
I've once again taken the liberty of copying in the review I did on the other size of this product, as obviously I have the same to say about both of them. The only difference I would emphasise is that this size, being the full sized item, may be more suited to keeping at home, and the smaller travel size for your gym bag or for at work if they provide showers as they do where I am.
This was given to me, & as people who have seen my other posts will know, I do a LOT of cycling, both for fun and for commuting to work. There isn't a time I arrive without sweat, mud, grime etc. all over me, and my face particularly takes the brunt of it because it's left unprotected by clothing (except for cycling glasses & helmet, which are essential).
By the time I get to work, I appreciate a hot shower, some nice smelling shower gel to wash off with, and most of all a gentle yet effective face wash to remove all the stuff I'm plastered in, deal with any potential blemishes that may cause, and leave me scrupulously clean. This is what does the job.
The packaging is how I like it. Simple and minimalistic. It's not something you'd be at all worried about pulling out of your bag at the gym, for example. It has a nice scent; I definitely agree that it is unisex. It's inoffensive to either gender.
What I enjoyed most about this product was that I felt as though I could tell it was cleansing. You don't get that with many cleansers: they feel as though they are just moving about on the surface. This one did more than that; it felt as though it was getting into each pore and giving it a good rinse-out. I really liked this cleanser and would give it a huge thumbs up.
Forgive me for copying in what I wrote about the smaller size of this product. I feel that all of the comments stand, perhaps with the exception that rather than using a small size for the odd problem, if you know you will need this product more regularly then this larger size is definitely for you.
When the weather gets harsher, or your skin acts out for some reason; be it central heating, sweating from exercise or whatever, this is good to use for a week or so as a good stabiliser before going back on to whatever you were using before (if it was working) or choosing something more suited to you if not.
I would find this too harsh to use regularly unless I had completely oily skin, in which case I would imagine it would be pretty perfect. As it is, a little of this, especially on the beard where ingrown hairs can be, has really made a difference when required. I can understand now why women have more than one of this and that; it's a first-aid kit of products dependant upon how your skin is acting, what time of year it is, what weather you've endured, central heating, stress and medication. I think I got them all!
I really do realise now though that, though I may have (and still will do) laugh at this behaviour, it makes complete sense (and I shall, er, borrow accordingly). Why let your skin go to rack & ruin simply because it needed a different product for a while? It's absolutely bound to: so many things change during the year and even how you feel can play a part; stress leads to all sorts. This stuff is great to sort all that out.
The silk cleanser and the oil are fab, leave the skin feeling smooth
Lovely products and great size and price to sample the products. Ideal as a starter pack before buying the full size products. Great for dry/mature skin. I will be purchasing the full size Odylique cleanser when it becomes available. The rest of the products are lovely too.
This makes a great all round family shampoo - ideal to use on my kids so I know they aren't being exposed to nasty chemicals that are in many 'kids' shampoos.

Tried thi ssample from my April beauty box last night and wasn't impressed. I have quite dry, thick hair which is coloured and when trying to wash the lather out I could barely get my hands through my hair, so I won't be following this up with a purchase. It would be interesting to see if after a week of regular use, anyone else feels they can ditch their conditioner altogether but sadly I don't think I will. Might be great for irritated scalps or those with finer, less dry hair - I will await other reviewers.
Used sample from my April beauty box a few times. I have shoulder length fairly thick, coloured hair. This shampoo is quite deceptive. At first you feel you need quite a lot to make any type of lather. Although it does not have the nasty chemicals that usually make a lather in 'normal' shampoo it does still lather. At first nothing seems to happen but after a few 'rubs' you achieve lots of silky lather. I left this on my hair whilst I had a wash before rinsing my hair. On each occasion that I have used this shampoo I have not needed conditioner and my hair feels as it would if I had used conditioner. Great product which I would considered buying once I run out of the brand I am presently using.
I suffer from dry itchy scalp as a result of having a psorisis, this herb shampoo has proved a certain relief to my condition and my hair felt wonderfully soft after its use.
I have dry and always used conditioner but I was interested to see if this conditioning shampoo would work as it said. It didnt produce huge amount of lather (as you'd expect) but it did foam a little and washed out quite easily. Afterwards my hair did feel a little dry and slightly knotty so I used a leave in spray conditioner on it. The scent was fresh and different but cant say I was blown away.
For someone with maybe greasy/oil/normal hair I think they'd do fine with this but for me I need to use a conditioner with it. Was nice for a change but wasnt overly blown away enough to want to switch to this.
A fantastic natural shampoo, the first one to ever get certified by the Soil Association. Leaves my long, heavy hair very soft, shiny and manageable. I wish Love Lula also stocked the larger, 500ml bottle, which would probably me more economical.
Having had an increasingly sensitive scalp over the past few years, i have been blown away by this product. The pain and itching went from first wash. I have been getting complements on my hair and ive not had to straighten it ( waist length, thick and wavy) i would recommend it to anyone. Follow the instructions and you can't go wrong.
I'm surprised how well this works; really does clean AND condition one's hair and relieves itchy scalp.
Gentle shampoo for my scalp, yet cleans my hair thoroughly to high shine and surprisingly nice volume. Have already bought it for my family and recommended to my friends.
The product is everything I hoped it would be and it lathers far better than I expected. It leaves my hair and scalp feeling and looking cleansed and healthy.
beautiful smell sprizt on when walking in woodlands, great take away for holidays
A wonderful product that is gentle but leaves your hair looking beautiful. You do need to work up a lather though. Really recommend it.
Got this through the beauty box, and i love it from the first use. i mixed one drop of this oil with aloe vera gel, and applied it before bed. i can see instant result this next morning. my skin looks very smooth and feels soft, and looks much younger.
i will buy again once this sample runs out, as in the way i am using it, a small bottle can last very long time.
This left my skin feeling renewed with a a radiance look, great under make up!
I was really pleased with this shampoo. It smells beautifully of tea tree and it cleans hair well. However it runs out fast as it is quite thin and lot of product has to be used. Sometimes I washed my hair twice because I had an impression that the first time they were not washed well. Anyway, I truly loved the shampoo and may buy again.
I use this to mist over my face before applying make up and again at end of the day for a quick pick me up.\nSuitable fro mature skin which need a little extra TLC
Best moisturiser - very gentle - no nasties - no animal testing - 5*
I use it on all areas of rough or sore skin. I have already recommended it to a family member and will be ordering another for her soon.\nIt is a good sized pot
Multi purpose healing cream. Bought another to give to my mother. Excellent would recommend.
Shit product is something extra! I have acne and this helps me calm and prevent new acnes from emerging
I love this as a light moisturiser for under makeup. It sinks in nicely and is not greasy. If I was in need of heavy duty moisturisation I would go for something heavier but definitely good for going under makeup, giving a nice smooth base. Smell is ok. Nothing to go crazy over, just natural and gentle.
The product is true to its concentrate name, as it is a thick liquid. It does have a 'greasy' type feel to it, until it absorbs into the skin. I found this takes around 5 minutes. Just be sure to leave this amount of time before applying make-up. (On my second application I used it as a make-up base, as their website suggests this as a use. It works a lot better as a base if you have allowed it to fully soak into the skin.)
Long-term: I did find that the area around my eyes felt more moisturised. However, I will need to test it more on the long-term basis to be able to see more of a radiance effect. Overall, I am pleased with the product. I think it definitely lives up to its name, but it is possibly not one I will be purchasing. If you are looking for a long-lasting, moisturing serum for your eyes (bags, circles, line, etc) I would suggest going for this though. It is £33, but it lasts a very long time, at 2-3 drops per application and will be worth the money.
Pros: Compact bottle, with very little needed to do the job. For its price, you get a lot of product, considering how little you use on each application.
Cons: It does need time to absorb in before it can be used under make-up. You may not like the scent, but this does not last long.

Smells good... herbal and tea-tree as well. Superb foaming and clean comfort hairfeeling.
i find this soap more moisturising than other soap, which i find very drying. i have dry skin so this is good for my skin. it is a little more expensive than other soaps so that is why i have only given it 4 stars. will buy again.
After reading the reviews I decided to try the Odylique Gentle Herb Shampoo myself. I was pleased with the results. Yes, it needs a bit of a technique and patience to lather, but it leaves my hair clean and fresh. Unfortunately I am still looking for a perfect formula to get rid of dandruff, but this shampoo is definitely worth to give it a go.
I found it too drying, I think maybe it may be too high a ph for me as it is soap based. In fairness I find a lot of natural shampoos drying, but this made my scalp seem really dry but did not seem to moisturise my hair and it was kind of a bit dry/greasy. Just didn't work as well as I hoped for.
The massage oil is fine in terms of working well as a massage oil, however I'm not a fan of the smell. It is very savoury and too similar to food smells for my taste.
I was looking for my first organic mascara and I was disappointed with this. It seems to take a lot of effort to transfer from the brush to my lashes and build up colour. Also, if I smudge some on my top lid I would normally use a cotton bud in water to remove but with this I have to use eye make up remover to remove smudges.
I was assuming rose smell but Instead it smells like a very sour vinegar. Stopped use after several times as the feeling on face was bad and did not make my skin good. Waste of money and not sure if it is denatured or expired.
This SPF is awful, the texture is extremely thick and heavy, in fact it is that thick it's so hard to squeeze out the tube. The smell is so lingers for ages. It takes a lot of effort to rub it in evenly and feels very greasy and doesn't sink in, just leaving this horrid film over your horrible it actually makes me gag and face so don't even think about applying make up over it, this also left my face with so many under the skin bumps at the end of the day after just one use. If you are oily then avoid this spf like the plague and even if you are really dry then I still would as I just don't think this product isn't pleasant for anyone to use.
