Reviews for Odylique Lemon & Tea Tree Facial Wash 200ml
Forgive me for copying in what I wrote about the smaller size of this product. I feel that all of the comments stand, perhaps with the exception that rather than using a small size for the odd problem, if you know you will need this product more regularly then this larger size is definitely for you.
When the weather gets harsher, or your skin acts out for some reason; be it central heating, sweating from exercise or whatever, this is good to use for a week or so as a good stabiliser before going back on to whatever you were using before (if it was working) or choosing something more suited to you if not.
I would find this too harsh to use regularly unless I had completely oily skin, in which case I would imagine it would be pretty perfect. As it is, a little of this, especially on the beard where ingrown hairs can be, has really made a difference when required. I can understand now why women have more than one of this and that; it's a first-aid kit of products dependant upon how your skin is acting, what time of year it is, what weather you've endured, central heating, stress and medication. I think I got them all!
I really do realise now though that, though I may have (and still will do) laugh at this behaviour, it makes complete sense (and I shall, er, borrow accordingly). Why let your skin go to rack & ruin simply because it needed a different product for a while? It's absolutely bound to: so many things change during the year and even how you feel can play a part; stress leads to all sorts. This stuff is great to sort all that out.
I've once again taken the liberty of copying in the review I did on the other size of this product, as obviously I have the same to say about both of them. The only difference I would emphasise is that this size, being the full sized item, may be more suited to keeping at home, and the smaller travel size for your gym bag or for at work if they provide showers as they do where I am.
This was given to me, & as people who have seen my other posts will know, I do a LOT of cycling, both for fun and for commuting to work. There isn't a time I arrive without sweat, mud, grime etc. all over me, and my face particularly takes the brunt of it because it's left unprotected by clothing (except for cycling glasses & helmet, which are essential).
By the time I get to work, I appreciate a hot shower, some nice smelling shower gel to wash off with, and most of all a gentle yet effective face wash to remove all the stuff I'm plastered in, deal with any potential blemishes that may cause, and leave me scrupulously clean. This is what does the job.
The packaging is how I like it. Simple and minimalistic. It's not something you'd be at all worried about pulling out of your bag at the gym, for example. It has a nice scent; I definitely agree that it is unisex. It's inoffensive to either gender.
What I enjoyed most about this product was that I felt as though I could tell it was cleansing. You don't get that with many cleansers: they feel as though they are just moving about on the surface. This one did more than that; it felt as though it was getting into each pore and giving it a good rinse-out. I really liked this cleanser and would give it a huge thumbs up.
