Reviews for John Masters Organics Citrus & Neroli Detangler 236ml
This left my hair really soft and swishy, but unfortunately it does contains silicone. There's plenty of discussion about JMO reformulating their products, so let's hope they remove this ingredient soon, as I believe it has no real benefit to hair, and is a suspected environmental toxin.
I have long, very fine hair which had become very dry from regular hair care products and I tried so many natural products but nothing compares to this. After drying your hair you don't even notice it, even when you leave it in. The worst dry hair will become all smooth again. You will simply not believe the result! I find it truly miraculous. Never had such a product in my life. Way better than the silicone junk which seems nice but in fact ruins your hair. I'll never stop using this. One tip: I don't put it on the upper part of my hair because there my hair isn't dry and with the detangler at least my fine hair tends to get greasy sooner and I'd have to wash my hair more often. And I don't use much, maybe the size of a hazelnut.
This leave-in detangler is the first leave-in product I used that made me go, "Oh, look at that. splendid." Didn't weigh my hair down, didn't make it greasy, just a feel of super conditioned hair. I applied a small amount by putting a little on my palms, rubbing them together and then head down bent over the tub (I wash my hair separately from my body, I'm one of those), I gently squeezed my hair moving from the middle of my hair to the ends. I don't rub my hair when I apply conditioners or masks, just sort of "squeeze" the product in, and then follow up with gentle strokes directed towards the ends to spread the product more evenly. My hair was still quite wet, and once I was done squeezing the product in / remains of the water out, I wrapped my hair in a towel (again, very soft towel, to avoid hair breakage. I once read someone recommending not to use towels - too rough - but 'undershirts' because they are the softest. Who even uses 'undershirts'. Americans.), and waited for the towel to absorb most of the moisture. Then I air dried my hair until it was barely, sorry, moist. Put it up in a bun, slept, woke up with bun-made waves that lasted me the whole day. I usually wash my hair twice a week, so the only downside here I'd say is with constant use I'll be needing to wash my hair every two days. But then again, I wear my hair up in braids / buns / tails 95% of the time. Dry shampoo that mess, bun it up, and off you go. I digress. This is a great product.
I got this in a BB but unfortunately does very little for me fine, dry hair.
Received in beauty box and will buy when I run out. Works wonderfully either rinsing out or leaving in.
Unlike my review of the shampoo, I'm loving the detangler. I am using it more as a conditioner, and brushing it through, quick rinse out. Smells nice. Does the job and is natural, that's 5/5 for me!
Don't expect silicone results, but if you are thinking to buy this, then you must be looking for something that is totally organic, yet effecient and delightful to use. John Masters detangler does what it claims to the best. It contains ingredients that not only seal but moisturize as well. It's what hair needs to slather on, brush and repeat.
This product is a diamond!! I was unsure about leaving it in as i have had bad experiences of every leave-in conditioner i have ever tried......well guess what it works and not only well but is the best daily conditoner i have ever used, leave-in or otherwise!! Very happy, with soft, frizz-free, non-oily hair :)
This is truly a great product, it smells wonderful and is easy to use. You can either leave in or wash out and it lasts for ages, so is good value for money.
The product has a pleasing smell and light weight texture, so I like to use it in the morning before I go to work. As a leave-in detangler, it worths 5 stars but as a styling product for defining my long permed curls, I give it 4 stars. In general, I like this product and will order in the future.
