After reading the reviews I decided to try the Odylique Gentle Herb Shampoo myself. I was pleased with the results. Yes, it needs a bit of a technique and patience to lather, but it leaves my hair clean and fresh. Unfortunately I am still looking for a perfect formula to get rid of dandruff, but this shampoo is definitely worth to give it a go.
I found it too drying, I think maybe it may be too high a ph for me as it is soap based. In fairness I find a lot of natural shampoos drying, but this made my scalp seem really dry but did not seem to moisturise my hair and it was kind of a bit dry/greasy. Just didn't work as well as I hoped for.
A wonderful product that is gentle but leaves your hair looking beautiful. You do need to work up a lather though. Really recommend it.
Very good quality.
The product is everything I hoped it would be and it lathers far better than I expected. It leaves my hair and scalp feeling and looking cleansed and healthy.
Gentle shampoo for my scalp, yet cleans my hair thoroughly to high shine and surprisingly nice volume. Have already bought it for my family and recommended to my friends.
I'm surprised how well this works; really does clean AND condition one's hair and relieves itchy scalp.
Having had an increasingly sensitive scalp over the past few years, i have been blown away by this product. The pain and itching went from first wash. I have been getting complements on my hair and ive not had to straighten it ( waist length, thick and wavy) i would recommend it to anyone. Follow the instructions and you can't go wrong.
A fantastic natural shampoo, the first one to ever get certified by the Soil Association. Leaves my long, heavy hair very soft, shiny and manageable. I wish Love Lula also stocked the larger, 500ml bottle, which would probably me more economical.
I have dry and always used conditioner but I was interested to see if this conditioning shampoo would work as it said. It didnt produce huge amount of lather (as you'd expect) but it did foam a little and washed out quite easily. Afterwards my hair did feel a little dry and slightly knotty so I used a leave in spray conditioner on it. The scent was fresh and different but cant say I was blown away.
For someone with maybe greasy/oil/normal hair I think they'd do fine with this but for me I need to use a conditioner with it. Was nice for a change but wasnt overly blown away enough to want to switch to this.
I suffer from dry itchy scalp as a result of having a psorisis, this herb shampoo has proved a certain relief to my condition and my hair felt wonderfully soft after its use.
Used sample from my April beauty box a few times. I have shoulder length fairly thick, coloured hair. This shampoo is quite deceptive. At first you feel you need quite a lot to make any type of lather. Although it does not have the nasty chemicals that usually make a lather in 'normal' shampoo it does still lather. At first nothing seems to happen but after a few 'rubs' you achieve lots of silky lather. I left this on my hair whilst I had a wash before rinsing my hair. On each occasion that I have used this shampoo I have not needed conditioner and my hair feels as it would if I had used conditioner. Great product which I would considered buying once I run out of the brand I am presently using.
Tried thi ssample from my April beauty box last night and wasn't impressed. I have quite dry, thick hair which is coloured and when trying to wash the lather out I could barely get my hands through my hair, so I won't be following this up with a purchase. It would be interesting to see if after a week of regular use, anyone else feels they can ditch their conditioner altogether but sadly I don't think I will. Might be great for irritated scalps or those with finer, less dry hair - I will await other reviewers.
This makes a great all round family shampoo - ideal to use on my kids so I know they aren't being exposed to nasty chemicals that are in many 'kids' shampoos.
