I really like the idea of use natural beauty products but I have to be honest, with my skin, I’ve often found that they just don’t have the same capabilities as more scientifically formulated products. Recently, however, I’ve stumbled across a few products from natural ranges which are most definitely the exception to the rule – case and point, NY Wild Rose Beauty Balm. One day, I was browsing the store, explaining to an assistant that I had crazy skin that was sometimes dry, often congested, prone to spots and starting to age all at the same time, when she pointed me in the direction of this product. I have to be honest, I was slightly sceptical when she recommended this as it certainly isn’t cheap and it seemed like a weird idea to cover my clogged skin with something so greasy BUT I was wrong. This balm actually seems to help keep my skin clear with the added bonus of not drying it out. It also soothes any redness created by blemishes or dry patches. I use it occasionally to give myself a quick but thorough cleanse but it really shines when you use it as a mask. I generally massage it in to semi clean skin, lie back in the bath for 20 minutes and then remove it with a hot, damp, muslin cloth (which I find to be the best way to exfoliate too). The result? Glowing, smooth, healthier looking skin with less irritation and less congestion. If you can stretch to the price, this definitely deserves a place in your bathroom. (The price actually doesn’t work out too bad as a jar of this last for ages because a little goes a long way.) PS. Smells a-maz-ing.
