To use
Apply using a zig-zag motion from root to tip for best results. Apply to both the upper and lower lashes for long, luscious lashes.

I had high expentaions before buying this mascara - it sounds perfect in the description. However, it doesn't really live up to its promises. It doesn't smudge and it's easy to apply but there's no volume. The lashes look ok but the effect is very subtle - definitely not a mascara for nights out. Even for daytime it's very anonymous. The search for a great natural mascara continues...
