John Masters started making organic products 20 years ago, seeing the need for products that can deliver unsurpassed results using only natural ingredients.

He began to realise the serious health risks posed by inhaling and handling harsh salon chemicals day to day and became committed to creating a toxin-free salon environment. Eventually, John started to see clients in his NY apartment, where he used only ammonia-free herbal and clay based dyes from Europe and experimented with non-toxic forms of hair care.

Today, John Masters Organics features more than 30 luxury organic products sold throughout the world and the John Masters' Organic Haircare Salon (where Sarah Jessica Parker is a regular) is situated in New York's trendy SoHo and is the city's only clean air salon - no chemicals are used in treatments provided.
