About Mother Earth

Mother Earth was created for two main reasons... one of which was to offer people a natural alternative to skin care made with artificial chemicals. The other guiding principle of the business is to provide products that combine therapy with every day living. In this way you can experience the emotional and spiritual benefits of flower essences & aromatherapy oils whilst cleansing and moisturising, making a room smell nice or even when you wash your hands!

The Mother Earth natural skincare collections are totally revolutionary in their simplicity. In a world claiming to be natural, they are natural. In a world of haste and mass production, Mother Earth takes the time to create hand made products, carefully produced in small batches, in England's Lake District.

As we all battle against pollution & chemical irritants, Mother Earth make 100% natural skincare products with no artificial chemicals at all no mineral oils, no synthetic fragrances or colours and definitely no animal products.

Mother Earth's organic skincare products have been featured in Vogue, Country Living, Eve & Red amongst others.

Healing

Using their years of experience as natural healers, they use the finest ingredients, essential oils, herbs and flower essences, carefully chosen for their therapeutic ability to heal the skin and the mind. The Mother Earth organic skincare collection is borne out of years of observing the amazing healing affects of herbs, essential oils and flower remedies on the complexion and the belief that beauty is not just physical. Wonderful results are possible through helping the body, mind and spirit .

For products to be as powerful as this, they need to work with the person as a whole: to help energetically and emotionally. It is only then that the complexion can show the results of clearing the mind and the spirit of toxic negative emotions.

Growing Herbs

Herbs are sourced from the Lake District whenever possible. Their calendula herbs are grown in the Crake valley. They are not only organic but also biodynamic which means that they are planted and harvested in tune with the rhythms of the moon.

Infused Oil

The herbal energy of these herbs is extracted by sunshine. The herbs are grown by folk who understand and care about what they are doing. Herbs are harvested and infused straightaway to ensure that no energy is wasted. Sunshine then infuses the herbal energy into the oil to create an oil that is as pure and potent as possible.

Beeswax

Most of their beeswax comes from bees kept on fells around Coniston that feed on the heather in the valley. Beeswax is used as a natural emulsifier. The cold processed, unrefined beeswax used is full of enzymes and minerals that are wonderfully soothing and nutritive for the skin.

Water

Mother Earth believe that the type of water used is really important. The water they use is from an underground spring and has no added chemicals at all.

Environment

Mother Earth take care of our environment. They use glass instead of plastic bottles wherever possible. They recycle everything that they can and their electricity is obtained from renewable sources.
