"For women who know that the secrets of beauty are best sourced from nature and not from synthetic chemicals, for those who read labels before they leap, for those who prefer not to be anyone‘s guinea pigs, for those who refuse to be categorised whether it be "chemical glam" or "organic-for-the-sake-of-it"; for those who believe that natural beauty does not mean having to smell like oats-and-honey and forsaking their razor, for those whose noses know that the best florals come straight from the garden, for those who have not found their soulmate-in-beauty, for those who have better things to do with their day than follow complicated beauty regimens, for those who love purity, for women of mystery and charm, seduction and high ideals; for those who believe that the "organically correct" can happily co-exist with the infinitely pleasurable; to lianne - the very first one to pinch my creams - who was the first to pinch my creams - i dedicate "doux me", the unique skincare ritual which i created first for myself, then for my friends, then for my friends' friends... and ultimately for every women who believes that beauty can be 100% natural".

Caroline Wachsmuth, founder

Caroline Wachsmuth conceived the concept of "Doux me" one day when she was presenting an aromatherapy seminar on natural cosmetics to students of the Aveda institute in New-York. A former journalist with a strong passion for cosmetics, she devoted herself to the study of essential oils and massage (first, for 3 years in Johannesburg and then in Minneapolis at the Aveda institute, where she completed a course on ‘massage therapy and spa aesthetics').

While in South Africa, she had already started to create her own mixtures of essential oils and personalised synergies dedicated to her friends. Then, during her stay in New-York before attending the Aveda Institute, Caroline spent half of her days creating beauty creams in her kitchen and bathroom!

Upon her return to Europe, her dream came true: to establish her own cosmetic brand....
On November 22nd, 2002 Doux me was laucnhed, the first beauty line bearing an organic label to be sold in France.

Her company, Daylily, is a member of Cosmebio, the Professional Association of Ecologic and Organic Cosmetics.
